Vision

We exist to G.R.O.W.

Grow believers.
Reproduce disciples, leaders, and churches.
Outreach to seekers and non-believers.
Worship Christ.

Grow believers - We have a vision for growing believers from seedlings to strong oaks who can withstand the fiercest storm. One way for believers to grow is to study the Scriptures together. Pastor Mike has a balanced teaching plan. This plan covers preaching through books of the Bible, core beliefs, Christian living, and the G.R.O.W. vision.  We will couple this with Life Groups that will study the same material as used in the sermons in depth and with a commitment to applying the Scriptures in the context of our community. Other Life Groups will study other books of the Bible or Bible topics. We will obey the "one another commands" of the Bible by loving, admonishing, forgiving, and encouraging one another.

Reproduce disciples, leaders, and churches - We have a vision to build leaders who will in turn build their homes and become pillars of Jesus' Church. We will have Biblical marriage and parenting studies in both Sunday Sermons and home groups. We will build leaders through one-on-one mentoring and apprenticing so that accountability and depth can be developed. In the future, we have a vision for a
BibleTrainingCenter that will mold future elders and lay leaders into vessels fit for the Potter's use. We envision a day when we will send out a group of people to start another church in our local area. This is a pattern we prayerfully hope to repeat until Jesus comes.

Outreach to seekers and pre-Christians - Our vision is to be a church of compassion toward those who are without the Good Shepherd. OakCreek home groups will assist those investigating the claims of Christ, to safely seek Jesus in the Scripture. We see a day coming when believers will go boldly into the public square to share their faith with pre-Christians. Our vision is to see many people proclaim their new found faith through the practice of water baptism and then by regular participation in the Lord's Supper (Communion) and who will practice the disciplines of disciples.

Worship Christ - Our vision is to be a group which passionately bows our hearts to God in creative corporate worship weekly, as well as day-to-day personal and family worship times.  Sunday services at OakCreek will be a place where worshippers worship God during upbeat praise celebrations.  At other times they will be called to quietly worship our awesome God in intimate reverence. We have a goal to help all OakCreek believers make their lives a living sacrifice to the Son who sacrificed himself for us. Then, we will no longer live as the world lives, but will live like the Maker of the world.
